Australia is one of the most unique countries in the world. It offers travellers amazing adventures full of interesting animals, beautiful natural scenery and landmarks, and cool cities. Australia is located in the southern hemisphere and while those of us are celebrating summer in June, July and August in the north, Aussies are experiencing winter.
Often times, travellers from the northern hemisphere will adventure to Australia during this time of the year, which makes for a very cool trip with many possibilities of outdoor adventure. There are still plenty of beaches you can visit no matter what time of the year it is on Oz.
Australia is different than most countries due to its layout. Its major cities all lie on the coasts. In the centre of Australia is the Outback. It is an inhospitable place where only small towns and roadside stations are located. Sydney and Melbourne are the two largest cities in Australia. Both are tourist hubs thanks to their incredible tourists sites.
Sydney is home to the world famous Opera House. The architecture marvel is the true gem of the city. Sydney Harbour Bridge shouldn’t be missed either. If you are feeling adventurous, you can climb the bridge for incredible 360-degree views of Sydney as the adrenaline pulsates through your body.
There are so many amazing sites and cities across Australia you will need plenty of time to visit them. Brisbane, Perth, and Canberra are three major travel destinations that all offer visitors a special experience. Meanwhile, you shouldn’t miss the chance to explore the Great Barrier Reef and its miles of underwater ecosystem. There is also Uluru which is a famous rock formation and has been an important site for indigenious people for as long as time itself.
Australia is a magical country that is different than anywhere else on Earth. From its glittering golden beaches to its red clay dirt Outback, Australia is a travel gem that should be discovered.
